Thoughts of a rock hound...
Morning in the desert, the heat of the sun on my face, I reach for a piece of petrified wood. Rubbing the dirt away I hold it up to the sun and think of what a beautiful pendant it will make.
As I scan the horizon, it’s hard to imagine the vast forest that once grew here. Filled with life and seemingly invincible, there are only fragments left now.
Yesterday, we walked where dinosaurs once roamed as we looked for coprolite. The rich reds, browns, blacks and greens are so amazing you’d never guess what it used to be.
No one will ever know we walked this land but perhaps the person who wears our jewelry will feel just a little of the awe and the energy and sense some of the love that we feel for this earth.
